ASHTANGA
Ashtanga Yoga
Practicing yoga is a self-proposal to improve the well functioning of this amazing and complexed machine that we are, bond in the physical, mental and spiritual. It surely deserves a dedicated attention; preserving our oneness and our communication skills with the world. The yoga practitioner, by regulating the breath´s rhythm awareness, achieves a firm and comfortable base in order to make this connection possible. The special linkage in this yoga system, called Ashtanga, has this power to create transformation and change. Physical dumpness reflects upon a similar feeling concerning the other aspects of our being. Being stuck, the spiritual is dull or simply asleep. We should "change the air". It is usual to hear in Spanish, when a change is needed. Well, this is what Ashtanga introduces to the whole practice, the "victorious" breath used by Ashtangis...discharging so much air which lies there with no function at all and at the same time, recharging the whole body with new air; new energy.

The best way to begin the practice of Ashtanga is to learn the basics of this class, Ashtanga Light. It is a good way to start. See you in class "light."
SELF PRACTICE
Ashtanga - Self Practice
The session is a self practice in a group, in which each practitioner is their own guide, at their own pace. The purpose is to establish a steady independent practice. Classes are supervised and each trainee receives attention according to their own practice. This class is a good laboratory for exploration.
KIDS
Ashtanga Kids
I consider yoga as an adventure game, a special way of exploring our own bodies and our lives. Trying to find balance in the usual, everyday. The practice will help them in their long journey towards a balanced body-mind and be at peace with it. The tools used in yoga help in several ways:
* Increase concentration and attention
* Provides relief and joy
* Balances emotional stability
* Helps to overcome insecurities and frustrations
* Soothes stress
* Improves posture
* Are known from within

Marcelo Hervitz has been working with children since 1990. He is an Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga practitioner since 2005.
I really think it's a good basis for a happy, healthy and fit life.
